After joining the USL League Two in 2014 and the USL Academy in 2021, FC Miami City is now joining the USL W!
The addition of this new team emphasizes the club’s commitment to providing pathways for young female players to progress through the ranks of professional soccer and also grants significant opportunities for young women to showcase their talents at a high level.
We are committed to developing the next generation of young women talent by bringing elite women’s soccer to South Florida!
A word from Ravy Truchot, Owner of FC Miami City
“We are excited to add the USL W to our ecosystem, emphasizing our commitment to providing pathways for players to progress through the ranks of professional football. Adding the USL W allows for us to expand and improve the pipeline of talented youth players, to increase their exposure to the professional and collegiate level in the U.S., and to give them opportunities overseas through our pre-established women’s football pathway in Europe either with our own women teams in France (Thonon Evian Grand Genève FC) and in Belgium (Royal FC Mandel United) or partnering clubs.”
ABOUT THE USL W
The USL W League, set to inaugurate in May 2022, will serve as the nation’s premier women’s development league. The league will provide exposure opportunities, both on and off the field, for future generations of women soccer players, and will strengthen the women’s soccer pipeline between collegiate and professional soccer.
With at least 30 teams in its inaugural season, the USL W League will bring elite women’s soccer to audiences across the U.S., creating more opportunities to play and watch the women’s game.
